Brian was a true friend of mine. He saved my life in Korea back in 2005. He was a great soldier and even a better leader. I will miss him and will always remember his unending willinginess to go the extra mile
The AMEDD has lost a terrific physician and mentor. I worked with COL Allgood on a project while I was in Iraq and even though it had nothing to do w/his field of expertise, he took great interest in it and wanted to hear everything I had to say. He was a good listener and took the time to get to know me and understand what it was that I did. He was a great role model.
I served with Brian in the 3rd Ranger Bn. Great Ranger and even a better person. God bless him and his family.
Brian was a great guy! He will be missed by all who knew him. The world was a better place because of Brian and his wonderful smile and the twinkle in his eye. He was a very bright, hard working, funny guy. We will miss you Brian! Our thoughts are with his wife and son.
I served as a medic in the 3rd Ranger Bn. and Col. Allgood (then Capt. Allgood) was my supervising surgeon , mentor and friend. He was a true patriot, a brilliant surgeon,a Ranger (a real"bat" Ranger ), a courteous, kind and professional medical leader and a friend. The lessons he taught us and examples set for us and all those he interacted with or led left us all the better for it.Col. Allgood touched so many lives for the better and will be forever missed. May God bless his family RLTW
Although I did not know COL Allgood well, his compassionate leadership made a direct impact on my life and may well have saved my life as well. May God Bless his family and keep them in this difficult time
I never worked directly for COL Allgood, but I did know of his outstanding reputation for being a great leader, surgeon, mentor, and friend. May God provide a peace that passes all understanding to his family and friends. Thank you for your service and ultimate sacrifice. You are my hero.
Brian was my nephew by marriage. He was a wonderful young man. He lived near us for awhile when he was in his 20s. I knew then that Brian was destined for great things and followed his career with much interest. He was an outstanding wrestler in school and truly worked hard for everything he received. He was a good friend. I will miss him and am remembering his family today.
I had the honor of serving under COL Allgood during our deployment and was deeply saddened to learn the news. He was dedicated, focused on the mission, interested in our personal lives and well-being. As a senior officer, he was an excellent role model. Our thoughts and prayers arew with his family through this difficult time.
COL Allgood was one of the finest commanders I have ever served under. Brian was a great family man and loved his wife Jane & son,Wyatt. I was stationed at Keller Army Hospital at West Point and was blow away by his go gettem attitude that was not over bearing but slow steady and very effective. Our kids went to West Point Elementary together. This is a sad time for the AMEDD, the US Army, and America. Our world is better because he was here-and is a little less because of his passing
Col Allgood was a great Soldier/officer/Doc/Orthopod. He will be remembered for his sacrifice. God Bless his family.
