Sgt. Jason W. Swiger, 24, of South Portland, Maine, died March 25, 2007, in Baqubah, Iraq, when an improvised explosive device detonated near his vehicle during combat operations. Swiger was assigned to the 5th Squadron, 73rd Cavalry Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division, Fort Bragg, North Carolina.
