Hey Jess,
Its been a few days, and I am still struggling to come to terms with what happened. I know that you're in a better place, and that helps me to get by. I struggle to find the right words to say, Im sure that they will come in time. I miss our conversations. You talking about your family, and me talking about Stevie and Gemma. Sitting in the trucks for hours on end...talking about things that at the time didn't really matter, looking back I learned that I can't take anything for granted in life because it's just too short. JessJess, I miss you, but I know you are watching over me and the other guys.

Rest in Peace, sweet Jessica. You are a hero and will never be forgotten.
She was a true credit to the military and the human race. She is deeply missed.
She had a heart of gold, great medic and friend. I miss her. Rest in peace Jessica.

I find it difficult to comprehend that such a sweet, young girl as Jessica Ellis is no longer with us. I am grateful to have spent time with Jessica at her brother Cameron's wedding last year. Jessica will be remembered for years to come. She was brave and honorable and so proud to serve her country. My heart aches for the loss of such a lovely girl and for her family. Please know, Jessica, that without people like you we would not be able to live in this free country and I am eternally grateful. You will be missed but not forgotten. Love, Sharon Studdert
