Spc. Christopher M. Talbert, 24, of Galesburg, Illinois, died July 7, 2009, in Shindad, Afghanistan, of wounds suffered when an improvised explosive device detonated near his vehicle. Spc. Talbert was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 130th Infantry Regiment, Marion, Illinois.
